Description
The Dots Cup by Viennese artist Teresa Berger was initially created as a functional glaze sample and later put into production. It is an expression of touch and reflects Teresa Berger's artistic exploration into the tactile language of ceramic surfaces. It goes beyond visual appeal and encourages viewers to explore the realm of physical sensation.
The cup is crafted from slip-cast stoneware in a pinkish beige shade, and each glaze dot is applied by hand by the artist. The surface between the glaze dots is left untreated, giving the cup a unique tactile feel, while the inside is glazed and shiny, protecting it from coffee or tea stains.
